This is a non-transferrable, named, personal pass with which passengers can make unlimited trips, single or return, interchangeably between two specific stations, with a discount on the General/Base fare on authorised Media Distancia Convencional (Conventional Mid-Distance) services for the validity period and month paid, and is aimed at helping commutes to Universities.

The Pass may be used every day in a calendar month, from the first until the last day, both inclusive. Both dates will be printed on the ticket.

These prices cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts except for the Large Family discount and those specifically indicated in the ticket’s terms and conditions.

Aimed at students, lecturers and employees of the:

  • Universities of Galicia (Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña and Vigo, and University Centres and Professional Schools in Vigo, Ourense, Pontevedra, Ferrol and Lugo).
  • Universities of Castile and León (Valladolid, Salamanca and Burgos).
  • Universities of Castellón and Valencia.
  • Universities of Castile- La Mancha (Ciudad Real, Albacete, Toledo and Cuenca Campuses).
  • Universities of Andalusia (Granada, Almería, Seville, Pablo Olavide, Cordoba, Huelva, Malaga and Cadiz).
  • University of Zaragoza.

Aimed at students of the:

  • University of the Basque Country.

Sales Channels for Passes

It can be issued at ticket offices in stations upon presentation of student/employee ID card.

They may be purchased up to 10 days before the validity start date.

Pass Changes

No changes allowed.

Pass Cancellation

Passes may only be cancelled before the start of their usage period, with a fee of 15% of the ticket price.

Passes can be cancelled at station ticket offices.

Validation of the booking

Each journey must be validated and will apply to the selected journey and train.

Sales Channels for booking validation

Passes may be validated at station Ticket Offices, Self-Service Machines and Validation Machines.

Validation changes

The booking validation cannot be changed.

Validation cancellation

A booking validation can be cancelled at no cost.

However, if customers have validated on a train with a higher fare, they may cancel at no cost if they do so within two hours. After this, they will need to pay 15% of the difference between the two fares as an admin fee.

Passengers need to show the Regional Monthly Student Pass alongside the booking validation and valid documents proving they are eligible for the discounts, and keep them until the end of the journey. In addition, train or station staff may ask Pass holders to show their identity document.
