Renfe will identify passengers who purchase AVE, Long Distance and Avant tickets online through www.renfe.com or a Travel Agency.
Customers will enter their contact particulars when buying the ticket, namely: name, first surname, e-mail address or telephone number, and, optionally, second surname and identification document (passport, ID…).
Given that these are identification tickets, the holder's particulars can be changed up to 15 minutes before departure of the train at no extra charge.
These particulars will not appear on the printed ticket, though Renfe will be able to identify the holder at the access control.
This is a commercial measure that will improve the Company's customer relations to provide personalised offers, notifications of incidents or changes in train scheduling.
